Dear wonderful followers of Words We Love By,
I am writing this last post to announce that I’m leaving the blog. It’s a bittersweet decision and one that I’ve struggled to make.
When I started this blog two years ago, by myself, at my dining room table, I had no idea how much and how fast it would grow. I had no idea how much I would be enriched by the people and books that it brought into my life.
The last six months have been a time of great transition and change for me. The demands of my career, my family, and an exciting new venture require that I now step back from the blog that I built with hard work and a tremendous amount of love.
It’s hard to walk away from something you love. But it’s that love that requires me to do what is best for the blog and make sure it has the leadership that it deserves.
I am leaving it in the very capable hands of Lisa Marie, who is one of my reviewers. She will make sure the blog continues to be a resource to readers, authors, and publishers. I’m excited to see what fresh ideas and features she will add.
Bloggers are the unsung heroes of this indie publishing community. No one could do their jobs if we didn’t do ours. To my fellow blogging sisters, who toil for nothing more than their love of books, I say– you are my inspiration and have often been my saving grace. Don’t ever sell yourselves short. Don’t forget how much of an impact you make and know that I will always think of you as my sisters.
To the authors whose words inspired me to start the blog, thank you for your tireless work. Your stories are the magic that keeps us all sane and believing in love.
And to the PR companies that supported us and trusted us to translate your messages to our audience, I know how hard you work and I promise that this blog will still be here for you and your clients.
So here is to new beginnings and old friends.
With a heart that is full of gratitude, I say, “farewell”.
All of my love, affection, and wishes for Happy Reading,
